I wanted to release these tracks first as they are the opening two songs on the album. I think they give a good introduction to the music I make on my own. I like to mix acoustic instruments with electronic instruments and have music evolve from simple beginnings to lush, densely packed arrangements
I hope you enjoy the music.

SIGHTS:
Sights was written in college, either 2010 or 2011. I recorded all the parts into my laptop with very basic music software. I didn't know how to set up a click track or multiple tracks or anything like that, so it was all recorded by watching the wav. forms move along the screen for my tempo.
I recorded it in the middle of the night, in my parents house, using whatever instruments were in my bedroom. A €50 guitar from Argos. A bell lyre that belonged to my great granddad, an out of tune piano, all drenched in reverb, and not much else. Nothing was ever added since the initial recording so what you hear is a bit of a time capsule back to 19 year old Micheál.
NEW BLISS:
This was the first electronic music I ever wrote, and the first track I wrote using proper music software, some time between 2014 and 2016. I wrote it on my laptop, again, in my bedroom in my parents house. This song gradually built up over time and got more detailed over the last few years. I wanted to layer as many melodies as I could, to allow a listener lots of different directions to let their ear go while listening to it.
I named it New Bliss as a nod to one of my favourite Moderat tracks, A New Error.
I hope you enjoy the music.
Micheál
